How to reduce cellulite?
Cellulite is an accumulation of toxins, fat and retained water. It is caused by a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, poor circulation, genetic predisposition or hormonal disorders. All women have it and it is NORMAL. But you can improve its appearance like this:
- Control the consumption of salt/sodium, processed/canned/sausage foods, high in saturated fats, sugars and refined flours. These cause fluid retention, which worsens the appearance of cellulite.
- Drink enough water, at least 2 liters daily. You can include aromatic or tea infusions. This way you improve fluid retention.
- Eat diuretic foods high in antioxidants and fiber and improve your diet in general: choose foods with high nutritional value and that provide you with nutrients. Include vegetables, fruits, good fats, complex carbohydrates and enough protein.
- Avoid adding unnecessary toxins to your body such as alcohol or cigarette smoke.
- Do strength training. Weight training strengthens and improves muscle tone, which in turn improves the appearance of the skin. In addition, it increases fat oxidation, even at rest, and accelerates your metabolism. You can also include cardiovascular exercise in your routines to increase caloric expenditure in case you are in the fat loss stage.
- The areas that accumulate the most fat and give rise to cellulite are those that have a deficiency in blood flow; The more stimulation in blood flow, the activity in fat mobilization will improve. Therefore, exfoliation/massages can be useful to help you with this purpose. You can use thermogenic creams and a thick bristled brush or a scouring glove to massage your legs for a few minutes (you can do it before training, to ensure greater activation of circulation). You can also bathe with cold water. This improves circulation in the area and guarantees better mobilization/oxidation of the fatty acids that cause cellulite. Remember: this is not magic, it can only give you extra help to all the other healthy habits that will help you improve it.
